WarioWare: Twisted! is a unique action game released by Nintendo exclusively for the Game Boy Advance system. First released in Japan on October 14, 2004 and then in North America on May 23, 2005, the game quickly became an instant hit thanks to its innovative tilt sensor mechanism, bringing a completely new experience to the player.

Breakthrough gameplay: A fusion of tilt sensors and microgames

Unlike previous titles in the WarioWare series, Twisted! integrates a gyroscope directly into the cartridge, allowing players to control the game by tilting their device. This is an innovative touch, making short microgames more dynamic and interactive than ever before.

Players will participate in a series of microgames with just a few seconds to complete each challenge. For example, you can rotate the device to take out the trash, control a plane, or navigate a maze. The difficulty increases as you progress through the game, forcing players to rotate the device skillfully and quickly to overcome the challenge. The scoring is also different: instead of counting the number of microgames played, the game only counts the number of levels you successfully complete, creating a new challenge.

Gyroscope Sensor: The Core of the Experience

The gyro sensor technology built into Twisted! not only highlights the physical tilt mechanism but also provides vibration feedback, enhancing interactivity. Developed by NEC, this technology ensures high precision in every movement, creating a realistic feeling when the player rotates the device.

The game automatically calibrates the sensor every time it starts or after each level, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience on the Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, and Nintendo DS.

Funny and creative plot

The story begins when Wario, frustrated at failing at a game on his Game Boy Advance, throws the device against a wall and shatters it. He takes the device to Dr. Crygor for repair, but Crygor instead inserts it into a “Gravitator” – a new invention that changes gravity. The result is a series of new tilt-sensing game consoles, which attract the attention of Wario’s friends Mona and 9-Volt. Realizing the huge business potential, Wario decides to develop a game based on this technology, and thus WarioWare: Twisted! is born.

Throughout the journey, each character in Diamond City has their own story, from Mona trying to avoid a competitor in the pizza business to Jimmy T. and his family enjoying life at the club. All are connected through the game’s unique gameplay, providing a rich and fun experience.

The Final Challenge: Wario’s Rebellion

At the climax, Wario accidentally fuses himself with Gravitator, transforming him into a super-villain named Wario-Man, with superhuman strength and a giant robot suit. Wario’s friends, including Dribble, Spitz, and Orbulon, fight together to stop Wario-Man, destroy Gravitator, and return everything to normal. The story concludes with the usual humor of the WarioWare series, maintaining the fun and creative spirit that players love.

The appeal of WarioWare: Twisted!

Not only is this game a milestone in the WarioWare series, it also marks a step forward in incorporating motion sensing technology into the mobile gaming experience.

The combination of diverse microgames, humorous storylines, and innovative control mechanics make WarioWare: Twisted! a must-play masterpiece for Game Boy Advance fans.

If you love uniqueness and are willing to test your reflexes, WarioWare: Twisted! is definitely a game worth experiencing!
